Do you buy your groceries online? Or shop online for clothes? Or for electical goods? Bookmark our shopping site – www.charityshopperschrysalis.com and use it for your online shopping. You can use it to access a whole range of big retailers, including all the major supermarkets. Again, it doesn’t cost you a penny – you pay the normal price for your goods. But Chrysalis-Club 2000 gets a donation whenever you shop.
Our new e-learning project
Many young people are not in school. They may only be receiving a part-time education. They may be sick, in youth offending institutions or they may be totally excluded from full time education. They could be Travellers or young people receiving home education. Some young people have mental health problems. Whatever the reason, these young people are missing out. We’d like to reach them and give them a better chance to succeed. We have just begun to work on piloting an e-learning platform for Traveller children in five Local Authorities in England. We are very excited about this and would like to extend this project. It will cost a lot of money in fact about £70,000 in total!

Why we need your help
As a charity, we are at a disadvantage. We don’t work with children from the third world, or young people living with life threatening illnesses, or premature babies – any of the “popular” causes! Disaffected and disadvantaged young people are not an easy group to raise funds for!
Thanks to the media, everyone thinks they know what young people like this are like. They’re “hoodies”, probably criminals. They’re drop-outs and druggies. They’re loud-mouthed, dangerous and obnoxious . . . . . or so the papers would have you think! That’s not what we see. We’ve seen thousands of youngsters up and down the country achieving fantastic things whilst they are on our programme, often achieving beyond anything they thought possible. We’d like to help even more young people to get national qualifications and awards.
